Announcing Women In Business Conference Speaker – Anna Jackson

Hear from inspirational speaker Anna Jackson as she takes you though her life story with a focus on dealing with the unexpected and believing in yourself.  She will teach you some of the methods she uses when she is coaching and mentoring that you can take away and use in your own lives.

Anna was awarded the UK Coaching Disability Sport Coach of the year award in November 2017 and was awarded the Prime Minister’s Point of Light Award for Volunteer work in Wheelchair Basketball. She has recently been awarded the Cheshire College Wellbeing Ambassador of the year Award for 2019.

Anna tells the story of her life from Hockey pitch to Paralympic games and beyond and her 10 year career with the British Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team.  She runs her own business and works hard to promote Mental Health Awareness.  She will tell you about her life with a physical disability and long term mental health conditions.  Her story is inspiring and amusing and will help you ‘Believe in yourselves’

Sometimes life does not turn out how you expect it to and there can be some surprises along the way but often these events change your life for the better and Anna will show you how true this can be.  From being rejected from the Royal Air Force at 17 to going on to have a successful 10 yr Career with the Great Britain Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team and now on a new adventure running her own business Anna will share with you some of the lessons she has learned throughout her life on and off the sports field.

Anna is an Ambassador for UK Coaching and for Maggie’s Merseyside at Clatterbridge Cancer support centre and works hard to promote mental health awareness. She is currently undertaking training to become a Counsellor and feels this will complement all the other areas of her work and life.
