Glitz and glamour as Network She celebrates the UK’s most remarkable women and young people

INSPIRATIONAL women from around the UK have been recognised for outstanding achievements in business and beyond at the annual Network She Foundation Awards held in Llandudno.

Winners included coaches, leaders and business owners in education, sport, health and tourism, as well as community-spirited and committed charity fundraisers.

This year’s event was held at Venue Cymru, Llandudno with an audience well in excess of 200 business leaders and dignitaries, and featured winners across 14 awards categories.

The glittering gala dinner included a hilarious turn from comedian Suzy Bennett, singer Chris James, emerging pop girl band Office Girls, and was hosted by leading business guru Kate Hardcastle.

Network She Foundation a full registered charity supporting women and young people from across the country, giving them access to skills, confidence and networks that they need to become successful individuals.

Foundation founder Ruth Lloyd-Williams said the event had been a resounding success and she congratulated all the winners as well as the shortlisted finalists.

“The judges said it was one of the toughest years they’ve faced in terms of deciding winners,” she said. “Every single one of the winners and finalists and the many more who entered had such inspirational stories to tell.

“I’m just so pleased that the Network She Foundation can shine a spotlight on these women and young people whose amazing achievements might otherwise go unnoticed by many.”

The awards coincide with International Women’s Day (Tuesday 8 March), an annual event in the international calendar celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

Ruth added: “We set out this year to create the biggest, most glamorous occasion yet and we certainly achieved that. Kate was a great host, Suzy was so much fun, Kate was a great host, Chris was wonderful during dinner and Office Girls brought a glitzy, party atmosphere to the evening.”
