What can we do for each other?

Led by Co – Founder Chris Roberts, the North Wales Dragons Community Football Team is gathering businesses and good causes together to ask the question “What Can We do for Each Other”.

In business, so much more is made of corporate social responsibility, or purpose driven marketing, while charitable causes continue to suffer during a long period of austerity.

The North Wales Dragons Community Football Team is holding a very special event on the afternoon of Thursday 5th October 2017 at Llandudno Bay Hotel.

The Dragons have put the call out and are gathering businesses and good causes together to openly discuss what they can do to benefit one another other.

Key note speaker Margaret Aspinall, Chair of the Hillsborough Families Support Group, who along with Chris Roberts, is joined by Becky Morgans and Gareth Jones. Becky who, following open heart surgery at 22, set up Beating Hearts to share her journey and spread awareness helping teenagers and younger adults in similar situations realise they aren’t alone.  Gareth Jones, a multi-award winning entrepreneur who owns and operates the Carbon Zero Group of Companies. Gareth is a huge advocate of supporting the local community having recently founded the Carbon Zero Foundation.  He passionately believes businesses should do more to integrate with their local communities and give something back.

The guest speakers will provoke thought and facilitate discussion so that businesses can learn what the third sector wants and needs from them and in doing so, enabling that business to develop their own CSR / purpose driven marketing strategy. It is hoped that the event will also enable businesses to share their own good practice on implementing CSR to help motivate other businesses to do the same and learn how CSR / purpose driven marketing has benefited them in developing their strategy in a business effective way.

This new and inspiring initiative will enable good causes to come together to meet like-minded people, learn from others experiences of how to overcome the difficulties of running a charitable or third sector organisation. Equally businesses and individuals can identify how others have used their situations to help good causes and charitable organisations, therefore leaving with a stronger understanding of what their business can do to support a good cause or conversely, what a good cause can do for their business.
