Mini Productions and First Person Productions present Bad Mother
A short film about trust, fuelled by fear.
A short film written and directed by Marnie Baxter and Nicola Stuart-Hill Produced by Mini Productions
Executive Producers – Linda Marlowe and Sam Emmery
Bad Mother is about trust, our relationship with strangers in the modern world, and how we judge each other as mothers.
The Bad Mother team are currently looking for support for this short film, written by mums about mums. We are in preproduction, scheduled to shoot at the end of April 2018.
“I am often disappointed by the rose tinted version of motherhood we see in films and TV – I don’t always believe it. This story has come from an experience that I had, so I hope it will have an authenticity to it” — Marnie Baxter, Writer/Director.
“It’s unusual to hear a story about mothers with this honest angle, it’s very powerful” – April Kelley, Mini Productions (Annie Waits/Edith).
“It’s a truly chilling story that is perfect for the short form. I am truly delighted to be involved” — Linda Marlowe, Executive Producer (Eastenders, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Jekyll).
