Virtual Balance is a bookkeeping business focusing on the day-to-day finances of small businesses throughout the UK. Born out of my frustration following a meeting with our accountant, who spoke to my ex-husband throughout the meeting, and used terms I didn’t understand to reduce the profit I thought we’d made the previous year.

So, 10 years ago I started my journey to become qualified and discovered that not only did I not know what I was doing when it came to the bookkeeping in our IT business, but I loved the numbers more than IT. In November 2018 Virtual Balance was born and since then we have grown organically through word of mouth and networking.

If we fast forward to today, we are a busy practice with 3 employees, myself and a subcontractor; all passionate about helping business owners understand their numbers in order to grow their businesses. As we have clients across the UK and as our name suggests, we work virtually and not only balance your books but help you as a business owner find balance in your business.

We work with a broad range of clients including welders, tourist attractions, high end luxury product manufacturing, recruitment consultants, pubs, engravers, software animators, charities and sports clubs to name just a few. The thing that links all our clients to each other is that they all want to understand their numbers to help their businesses succeed.  Working with such a variety of businesses is amazing as we are always learning something new and can take that information to help our other clients.
