Profile of a succesful member: Maja Williams

Gaining her Honours in Computer Science at the University of Adelaide, Maja started her career in the UK as a programmer. Within 6 months she was upgraded to a Team Leader and very shortly to a Project Leader. She received PRINCE2 and ITIL qualifications and then decided to go ’solo’. With the full support of her husband, Paul Williams, Maja started a Project Management Based Web Design Company, one that was going to succeed where most other software companies fail: to deliver on time and within customer quality requirements. Maja has been leading her own team now for almost 5 years and has recently opened a shop in Penrhyn Bay, North Wales, providing employment to more local people.

Meet Network She Member Elaine Fyfe of The Wardrobe, Beaumaris

Elaine is Welsh, in her forties and was brought up near Aberystwyth. She studied Russian at Bangor Uni. She’s always loved clothes probably as a result of her mother’s influence (she was a seamstress and came from the village of Rhyd in Snowdonia). Elaine’s previous lives have included a hugely enjoyable time working in Harrods and Selfridges selling everything from designer clothing to toiletries. She’s translated and edited using her degree. She’s been a London financial reporter. She’s taught English abroad. As well as all this she’s been a mum to her eleven year old daughter, Amber.
