Life begins at…
It is said that “life begins at 40”, well so should a brand new skin care regime.

It’s a vicious cycle starting at puberty struggling with spots and blackheads and then as you mature combating the signs of age.
As skin changes with age so should your products and treatments.
Sometimes it’s hard to break a habit, and only too easy to still use the same products as you did 10 years ago.
Ageing, changes in the environment and exposure to sun all have a big impact on your skin and you need to adapt to that.
Even if your care routine had been lax it’s never too late to take action and improve your skin.
Anti Ageing skin care needs to combat the main symptoms of skin ageing such as lines and wrinkles, age spots, pigmentation, elasticity and firmness and puffiness around the eye area.
I have yet to experience a product that can turn back time however the ageing process can be put on hold, and visible lines and wrinkles disguised with a good skin care regime.
Don’t fall into the trap thinking that when we reach a certain age that we should all buy a moisturiser that needs to be slapped on a ‘one size fits all approach’
The 40’s are a time when you should be looking for a quality anti aging product.
Look for repair serums for dry, dehydrated skin, or a skin brightening complex for uneven skin tone or pigmentation which will brighten up the complexion and make it more radiant.
Some serums can tighten up the facial muscles, and plump out the area around your eyes, thus filling out the fine lines and wrinkles, which can knock years off.
Your skin care regime should consist of cleansing, morning and evening, twice weekly exfoliation, moisturiser twice a day, a weekly mask, and eye serum. Some products combine several areas, such as a moisturiser for the face, neck and eye area. These three in one products are good value.
A good night cream can help your skin rejuvenate while you sleep by stimulating cell renewal, bringing oxygen to the cells helping to nourish and firm the skin.
There are a lot of anti aging facials available and you should try and have as many as your budget can afford.
One to recommend is Microdermabrasion, which tackles everything from spots and congested skin to lines and wrinkles.
