A fantastic night of celebration took place on Friday 18th November at Venue Cymru, Llandudno. The Network She Awards 2011 saw over 300 guests from across the country come together to recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of women in business. Now in their 4th year the Network She Awards have grown into what is recognised as being one of the most prestigious events of the awards calendar, testament to the commitment and dedication of Ruth Lloyd-Williams and the team at Network She to support women in business.

“Most women really struggle to tell people how hard they work, and of the sacrifices they make to achieve success” said Ruth. “It is a genuine privilege to create a platform to give business women the opportunity to be publicly recognised for what they have achieved and to celebrate their success in style. This year’s awards far exceeded our expectations and we have been overwhelmed by the support of the category sponsors, the quality and volume of entries and of the feedback we have received from the guests, finalists and winners”.

Michelle Mone OBE, widely recognised for her achievements in the business sector as well as her presence on television programmes such as The Apprentice joined Network She on the evening of the awards, giving an interesting and inspirational presentation about her experiences in business, offering an insight into her world and shared a few intimate secrets. Michelle presented the awards with the sponsors to the worthy winners of each of the prestigious categories.

Suzanne Edwards of Springfield Day Nurseries Ltd was this years winner of the North West Wales Business Woman of the year award, sponsored and presented by Lyn Leech of The Imperial Hotel, Llandudno.
Louise Wilson added the North East Wales Business Woman of the year award to her successes at the recent Flintshire Business Week Awards, which was presented by the Chair of both Flintshire and Denbighshire County Council
Network She Manager of the Year 2011, sponsored by Peninsula, was awarded to Laura Farrell of Crime Prevention Services based in Northop and presented by Amanda Chadwick
Flame Home Ware, UK’s fastest growing giftware importers were presented with the Business of the Year award by Elisha Roberts from category sponsors Mackenzie Jones Solictors
Sponsored by LMW and presented by Laure Gough, the Network She New Leader of the Year Award 2011 went to Clare Budden of Flintshire County Council
Network She Young Business Woman of the Year 2011 was presented to Hannah Buckley from Miss High Street by category sponsor Karen Wylie of KL Care. Karen was herself a finalist at last year’s awards
Ruth Mealey of YSE presented the New Business of the Year award to Llanelli based Mandy Miller of Cutz 4 Mutz
Network She North West Business Woman of the Year was awarded to Sarah Cross of Uber and presented by Penny Aldridge of Spark Impact
Jane Kenyon received the Social Enterprise of the Year award from Steve Wilson on behalf of the Girls Out Loud initiative.
Sue Hayward founder of Happy House, school for abandoned Children of Watamu in Africa was honoured with the Charity Fundraiser of the year award which Ruth Lloyd-Williams accepted on her behalf from sponsoring company Costco As Sue is presently in Africa
Karen Farrell, Director of Crime Prevention Services presented the Networking Woman of the Year award to Tracey Thomas of thisladyloves.com, Karen was herself the winner of the Network She Flintshire business woman of the year award in 2010
The coveted Network She Business Woman of the Year award, sponsored by Parkway Telecom and presented by Company director Paul Maddocks was awarded to Elizabeth Ann Marland of EAM Care Group

Plans are already well underway for the Network She Awards 2012 details of which will be announced at the Network She, International Women’s Day Ladies lunch on Thursday 8th March at The Quay Hotel, Deganwy with guest speaker, BBC’s The One Show GP, Dr Sarah Jarvis.
