Lady of Leisure – not a job title!
Developing her jewellery brand from the humble beginnings of the spare bedroom of her family home Chlobo now boasts a fully equipped studio, fifteen staff and celebrity fans including X- Factors very own fashionista Cheryl Cole and world renowned supermodel Elle McPherson.

Leaving school at 16, University was a definite no for Chloe and with parents insisting that being a lady of leisure was not a job title, Chloe’s career started on a very different path as she joined the travel industry as a tour operator. Bitten by the travel bug in 2003 Chloe decided to take off and experience all that the world had to offer. For 10 months she travelled the globe, as part of her journey she explored the beautiful Indonesian island of Bali and discovered her niche.
“I fell in love with the Indonesian island and the gorgeous people as soon as I arrived, instead of staying for the planned 10 days I stayed for two months, I discovered the islands beautiful soul, it’s amazing silver and wonderful craftsmen”.
Spending time on the white sandy beach Chloe met a woman beading intricate silver bracelets, the seed was set and the idea for her jewellery business Chlobo was born.
With no formal fashion or design training Chloe was so inspired by her meeting with the lady on the beach that on returning to the United Kingdom she sourced silversmith suppliers in Bali and finalised her first designs.
“To this day the heart and soul of Bali is in the essence of ChloBo said Chloe. The island’s culture, people, beauty and energy will always be an inspiration for my life and my jewellery”.
It is difficult to believe that this cult jewellery brand has come so far during such difficult times with Chloe’s collections now available in 40 boutiques across the country. Intimate boutiques, each one having an independent spirit, full of unexpected surprises and, beautiful things, “Watching my company grow from the spare bedroom I made in to a studio, to where it is now has been an amazing experience said Chloe, as I had no fashion or business training, often I have to go with my instinct when making important decisions, it seems to be working so far” .
With exciting plans in place for 2011, an ever growing celebrity fan base and designer collaborations in the pipeline the future looks very bright for Chloe Moss and her team at Chlobo.
